It seems to me like the main lesson of comparing 100k against median income is not "100k == rich" (which is a valid definition, but lacks any nuance). Where a more interesting analysis might be "the median income sucks, because capitalism requires poverty & maintains disparity."

"words mean things" -> "words usually mean a whole range of different things, depending on context, and sometimes contradict themselves." 100k is both rich & not rich & also contextually rich, because there are many ways of using that word, and each leads to different analysis.

no one should have to live paycheck to paycheck actually. no one should even be forced into labor to survive actually. the whole system is fucked.
