Una people are solving many of these problems with variables, which is great. But, even if it doesn't open up *new* possibilities, it still has real advantages: - cleaner syntax - split out into distinct attrs that - have a very simple JS api
-
Una - specificity and API are still handled entirely in CSS
-
Una I think all around the combined power of variables and fully-implemented attr() would help JS, HTM, & CSS work together in ways that don't involve high-specificity in-line styling.

Una related… access to counter() everywhere would be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool 😎 all sorts of interesting animation and layout options based on count.
