My dad loves to tell a joke about a mathematician & engineer faced with a variant of Zeno's paradox. The mathematician moves half way towards a prize, & half again, forever — never arriving. The current prototype ignores the problem (we had to start somewhere). The resulting sleight-of-hand "just works" – but in a browser-specific & "stateful" way. The outcome depends on the rendering engine & order of operations. We can't spec that. Can we spec anything? We'll try!On twitter.com
