I often revisit these "50 moves…" articles by egabbert - …in poetry: htmlgiant.com/craft-notes/moves-in-contemporary-poetry/ - …in fiction: electricliterature.com/50-moves-you-can-use-in-your-fiction/ I enjoy them as a writer, but I also just like thinking about any creative work as a series of repeatable moves, combined in different ways.

      It reminds me of the Elements of Design, or the Viewpoints for dance (developed by Mary Overlie) & theater (adapted/popularized by Anne Bogart) – which inspire most of my theater work. I think it's also at the heart of the css visions - breaking down small, repeatable "tricks"

    I think this is a reminder to myself. I know that I tend towards larger narratives when I teach - putting everything in context, with a history & purpose. Which is needed sometimes. But it can be really useful to go the other way.
